Skoda Kushaq a mid-size SUV made on MQB-AO-IN platform which is a special platform for the Indian Market
Skoda Kushaq had a long wait between the showcase and launch, but after all now its being launched.
Let's talk design
First look seeing the Kushaq new skoda's typical more sharper look is easily visible. Primarily talking of the Front End, the SUV gets LED Matrix L shaped Lights with day time running lights. Fog lamps below not being LED but are regular Bulbs. Below down comes the diffuser and it's a mid size one so it definitely needs that. Now seeing the front end the car definitely makes a sharp eye look and a need of the hour SUV look for prespective.
Now talking of rear the rear design again gets the L-shaped LED Tail lamps, but the indicators are hal0gen. Same as of front the rear too gets difuser towards the end. Boot carrying capacity of the car is 385 Liters which can be extended to 1405 Liters when rear seats are folded. Now if you are not choosing the high level variant there might be differences in the lights i.e a might possibility of halogen lights.
Moves with Interior
Interior designs are quite Skoda's typical design languages with a bit of design changes in look.
Interior design of Kushaq looks modern, with the two-spoke steering wheel. The reflectors on the dash adds to the Bit. Kushaq is equpied with 10 inches infotainment screen with skoda connect and a touch screen Climatronic control panel. Features list on interior includes Keyless Entry , a glassroof, front ventilated leather seats, non-slip base cup holder, phone pockets on front, auto dimming irvm , white ambient lighting , wireless charging pads with type C USB Sockets, center Arm rest , paddle shifters for automatic and DSG Unit, and more. Modern interior dynamics with knowing what Indian customers want most of the aspects are ticked within. The interior does gets intresting with all these features and more, but as said earlier the Ambition (base) variant will not get all of these features. For a guess infotainment screen on Ambition varaint gets 7inches screen with few features.
What's on Plates of Running?
Helping the car to run on road are two engines, 1.0 liter as well as 1.5 liter TSI Engine.
Speaking firstly of 1.0 liter TSI Engine this makes the car have 115 Ps of Power and 175 Nm of Torque. This comes in pair with 6 speed manual as well as 6 speed torque converter Automatic engine. Moving onto the part of 1.5 liter, this helps the car generate 150 Ps of power and 250Nm of Torque. It's more powerful (ofcourse) and is paired with 6 speed manual and 7 speed direct shift Automatic transmission. Both the engines comes with petrol option i.e Kushaq only runs on Petrol and not on diesel, a bit of sad part for diesel lover,
Runs Towards the Tech and Specs part
Safety being priority lets come to the safety part, Kushaq comes with ESC ,ISOFIX Child seat mounts, Rear parking sensors as standard on all variants. Multi-Collision Brake, upto 6 airbags on option with an optional side and curtain airbags. tyre pressure monitoring system, Hill Hold Control ,cruise control , light and rain sensors , are set as an optional features of the car.
Dimensions
4,221 mm long, 1,760 mm wide, height of 1,612 mm, wheelbase of 2,651 mm. Thinking of it with other car in this segment, this car looks smaller.
The car gets 17-inch Atlas two-tone alloys while the base gets steel wheel.
Making a overall report
We had already seen the brand image of skoda in the country , but Skoda has made new plans for India 2.0 , focusing more on SUV Segment. Overall the car looks adequately good with all the features, but the thing which made us think the car is good and not awesome is the design language of rear. The rear doesn't give the "lets take it offroad" look, but yes the front end makes it robus and gives a feel of a strong hard to drive car.

1 liter TSI range starts from 10.49 lakhs for the Active, 12.79 lakhs for the Ambition 14.19 for the Ambition automatic.
